Hotels International (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Hotels International Loyalty mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

We are committed to being transparent about our data practices. This policy is written in plain language so you understand exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

2.1 If You Join the Loyalty Programme

Participation in the Hotels International Loyalty Programme is entirely optional. If you choose to sign up, we collect the following information:

  • Phone number (optional — you may choose to provide this or leave it blank)

This information is provided directly by you during the registration process and is used solely to operate your loyalty account.

2.2 If You Do Not Join the Loyalty Programme

If you use the App without signing up for the loyalty programme, we do not collect any personal information from you whatsoever.

2.3 What We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect. The App does not collect:

  • Usage data, analytics, or behavioural data
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data
  • Cookies or tracking technologies of any kind
  • Any data from third-party advertising or analytics services

3. How We Use Your Information

The personal information you provide when joining the loyalty programme is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing your loyalty account
  • Identifying you when you interact with Hotels International staff or systems
  • Communicating with you regarding your loyalty membership (e.g. points balance, rewards, or account updates)

We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

4. How Your Information is Stored

Your personal information is stored securely within the Epos Now point-of-sale and customer management system used by Hotels International. The App retrieves your information from this system via a secure API when you log in to your loyalty account.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties, except as described below:

  • Epos Now: Your data is stored within the Epos Now platform, which acts as our data processor. Epos Now processes data on our behalf in accordance with their own data processing agreements and applicable data protection law.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid request from a public authority.

No other sharing of your personal data takes place.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your loyalty account remains active, or as required to comply with our legal obligations. If you wish to close your account and have your data deleted, please contact us using the details in Section 9.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including:
