FrameRate iOS App Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12th October 2026

1. Introduction

FrameRate Photo Ranker (“FrameRate”, “the app”) is developed by Leon Maughan, an individual developer based in the European Union.

Your privacy is important. FrameRate is designed to work entirely on your iPhone. It does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data.

2. Photos and On-Device Analysis

FrameRate requests permission to access your photo library so it can score and rank your photos by visual quality, help you review weaker photos for deletion, and identify similar or near-duplicate images.

All image analysis is performed locally on your iPhone using Apple’s built-in on-device image analysis capabilities.

Your photos, scores, rankings, and analysis results never leave your device. FrameRate does not upload your photos or use cloud processing.

You can revoke photo library access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

3. Data Collection and Storage

FrameRate does not collect any personal data or other user data.

The app has:

  • No accounts or sign-in.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting tools.
  • No advertising or tracking.
  • No third-party SDKs or cookies.
  • No network connections, servers, or backend services.

Any scores or cached results are stored locally on your iPhone. This information is removed when you delete the app.

4. Photo Deletion

FrameRate never deletes photos without your action. When you choose to delete a photo, the deletion is initiated by you and confirmed through the standard iOS system prompt.

Deleted photos are handled by iOS and appear in the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album, where they remain subject to Apple’s normal deletion and recovery rules.

5. Children’s Privacy

FrameRate is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else because it does not collect user data.

6. GDPR and European Privacy Rights

FrameRate is designed to respect the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, it does not maintain personal data about users for which access, correction, or deletion requests would apply.

You can control the app’s access to your photos through your iPhone’s privacy settings and remove locally stored app data by deleting the app.

7. US Privacy Laws

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA): FrameRate does not collect, sell, or share personal information as defined by these laws. Accordingly, there is no user data held by the developer to provide or delete in response to a data request.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): FrameRate does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. No personal information is transmitted to or collected by the developer through the app.

8. Third-Party Services

FrameRate does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-processing services. The app makes no network connections and does not send information to external services.

Apple’s iOS operating system manages photo permissions and the system confirmation for photo deletion.

9. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the app’s functionality or privacy practices change. Any revised version will be published at the same public URL, with an updated effective date.
